Digital Games Library

Result Description (including: needs analysis, target groups, elements of innovation, expected impact and transferability potential):

Since beginning of COVID-19 period, all partner schools are trying to run distance learning. As this is a difficult process both for teachers and students, we decided to support them in this process and asked 3 open-ended questions (what are your problems about distance learning? What factors cause these problems in your opinion? What do you need to solve them?) to teachers about their needs in this process. We randomly chose 10 volunteers from each partner and conducted the questions. We collected similar answers from participants. According to the results, the most mentioned problems are being lack of digital abilities, not having enough knowledge of digital web 2 tools, need of digital resources in different kinds of courses and difficulty of taking attraction of pupils to the online courses. As two of the needs is lack of digital resources in most courses and not being able to take attraction of pupils, we decided to prepare an open free resource that will be enjoyable for the school lessons. We clarified 5 common lessons taught in Europe and agreed to produce educational games ,which are fun, to use in digital education.

Thus, the result will be a free/open Digital Games Library Website including 10 Educational games in the courses of English, Maths, Natural Sciences, Philosophy and Art. It will be innovative because it is a resource you can find fun games in many courses to practice the outcomes of the lessons. You can do it both in all kinds of classrooms in distance or face to face learning or during individual study. It will be in the language of English and include the common courses generally taught all around Europe. It gives students/ persons the opportunity to practice same subjects or gain same skills with their peers in different countries of Europe.
